For our client, a German engineering house, we are looking for a Sales Engineer to be based in Sibiu and to prepare and follow up customer quotations for the German and
international markets.
The main responsibility:
- Technical selection of products and / process - Detailed Costing of concept;
- Preparation of the commercial quotations;
- Follow-up of offer directly with the customer to secure the Sales;
For the preparation of quotations:
- All necessary information is obtained from various internal departments (e.g. Purchasing,
Engineering, Dispatch and Commercial Management) as well as suppliers and customers while
overserving any deadlines.
- Any schedule for delivery, assembly and commissioning is agreed with the relevant internal
departments and suppliers in accordance with customer requirements.
During the project phase from receipt of enquiry to order placement, the customer is supported and the
project status at the customer's premises is monitored after the offer has been submitted.
- The Sales Engineer communicates and clarifies with the customer the technical and commercial
requirements.
- Tracks the project - Carries out the project negotiations, if necessary, in co-operation with other
specialist departments.
Ideal profile:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in sales for plant or machine engineering fields.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Very good knowledge of English language
- Good knowledge for German language is an advantage.
- The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good team working skills.
- Willingness to continue own sales and engineering education.
